Hey all! I feel like I have let you down because I make the best BEST version of a Paczki donut but I was really busy this week and did not have time to blog about it. I didn’t even have time to make them for myself because, as usual, life snuck up on me. Please check out this recipe for Jelly Donut Cupcakes from Elana’s Pantry. Creamsicle Protein Shake
Ok, so it’s National Creamsicle Day!!! YEAH!!! I have a wonderful recipe for creamsicle cookies and I made them every summer that I had a booth at the farmer’s market. They always sold out because my creamsicle cookie recipe is the best! I know I have been doing a lot of cookie and brownie recipes though so I thought I would try for something to start our day with. I will save the cookie recipe for another time! Heck, I may even post it next week! Ok baby dolls, here it is!
CREAMSICLE PROTEIN SHAKE
serves 1
8oz milk of your choice
1/2 frozen organic banana
1/2 organic orange
1/3 cup organic plain greek yogurt
1 tbsp organic coconut oil
1 tbsp ground chia seeds
1 scoop of stevia sweetened vanilla protein powder
1 tsp orange zest
Put it all into the blender and whip it. whip it good!
Notes:
-For VEGAN version, substitute milk for vegan version as well as yogurt for vegan version. I recommend almond or coconut for this recipe. Also for protein powder use your favorite vegan version.
-If your protein powder is not sweetened, add 2 tbsp of maple syrup or coconut nectar.
